Dear Madison,

How is it possible that you get cuter every single day?! You are the prettiest, most precious little girl in all the land. Don’t ever let anyone make you feel like you aren’t a beautiful work of art :]

I love you with all my heart. I don’t know if you’ll remember this birthday but if you do – I hope it was the most fabulous day for you and that each birthday just gets better and better.

Thanks for making me feel so loved with your shouts of my name to come play with you, the hugs and kisses hello and goodbye, the cute faces (even when you won’t look at the camera), and especially your sweet and feisty spirit. You remind me of your Daddy sometimes and I think that’s amazing. I love being your Auntie, my little sweetie poo <3

dearest madison joy -
my favoritest niece in the whole wild world! these days – capturing any type of photo of you is next to impossible… you’re the fastest little girl i’ve ever met.
i snapped these three photos today. the two of you were this morning at church, you were so happy and gave me a hug as soon as i walked in the door!
and yes, i was running exceptionally late. you didn’t care :]
the third photo, of the street sign, is one that i’ve been meaning to take for months. yesterday, i decided to come visit you at the last minute before i headed home and wouldn’t you know it – i had to make a u-turn and there was Madison lane, just waiting for me ;]
i knew you’d appreciate it. you know, one day.
my favorite thing to talk to you about these days is my pets – you’ve absolutely mastered the word “dawg” – complete with southern accent. It couldn’t be more heart melting.
I am going to try to be better about documenting my thoughts and prayers for you and your baby brother so that we can always remember. and who knows, maybe by the time i have babies, i will have mastered this “keeping up with a blog” thing :]
i love you, sweet baby girl. keep being the happy, sweet, snuggly, super smart little girl that you are. you’re the best big sister i’ve ever seen (well, other than aunt abbie, of course!) and james is so lucky to have you!
your whole family loves you to their bones. i think that makes you the luckiest, little one. never forget how amazing and one-of-a-kind you are. i can’t wait to get to know you more every day <3

If you’re new to reading my blog – you may not know how much I love my adorable niece, Madison ;]

Madison is getting a new baby brother at the end of this month and I’m not quite sure she knows what’s coming.
It goes without saying that my whole family is beyond thrilled for my brother and his beautiful wife…
Who wouldn’t be excited about someone else in the family to love and spoil?!

I don’t know if it’s because Maddie is my only niece – but it sure is hard to imagine loving any child more than I love her.
And yet, I know that when James gets here I will love him just as much.
Jeeze – I can’t even imagine what it must feel like to have your own babies!

I will of course update my blog with precious baby pictures after he arrives… but hopefully he will stay safe and sound for a few more weeks.

I still find it hard to imagine a bond stronger than that first one with the first little person in your life.

Dear Madison,

You are growing so much every day and getting more beautiful by the second.
Your personality is already so strong and it’s amazing the qualities I find I have in common with you (must be the genes).
And your brain! Oh my goodness – you have to be the smartest girl in the whole world.
Today you came over to my house to play and you knew my dogs by name… Okay… so maybe you called Lola “Oscar”, too…
But I know you were kidding. That’s how smart you are – you already have a killer sense of humor like your aunt! ;]

I love you more than life. I will always be here for you and would do anything for you.
You are such a joy and a gift from God. I am so thankful you are part of my family.

Dear Madison,
I can’t believe we are a little over a month until your first birthday! The time has gone by so quickly but I am so excited that from this point on,
I will live within minutes from you – instead of hours and hours and hours :]
Every single time I see you, hold you, kiss you, sing to you, or watch you dance – I can feel my heart smile. You are the most beautiful girl in the whole entire world and I love you with all my heart.
Stay sweet, my lovely. And take it easy on your mommy since your little brother is still in her tummy… You are going to be the best big sister in the world.

And when it comes to making beautiful babies? Yeah. They pretty much take the cake.

Although I may be partial (even though I know I’m just plain right)… I have the most beautiful neice in the entire world.

Dear Madison Joy,
I love you more than you will ever know. I love you so much it’s like a dull ache in my heart.
That means there’s a lot of love in there.
You are already so beautiful and you haven’t even uttered a sentence. I can’t imagine how beautiful you’re going to become.
You are such a joy and I am so happy that Jesus gave you such great parents who happen to be related to me.
He  must have known I was going to need a pretty girl to model for me on my silly, spur-of-the-moment photography endeavors  :]
Not to mention the countless sleepovers and shopping trips we shall have…
