In celebration of Valentine’s Day, I figured I would post about love. All types of love – the love of my life, obviously, but also the love of road trips, adventures, thrift stores, and good music.
This past weekend, John and I decided to adventure to Cambridge, Massachusetts.
We found the most excellent of thrift stores there – This little gem right here.
$1.50 a pound and let me just tell you – you could easily spend a whole afternoon going through the never-ending pile of clothing, shoes, books, and everything in between.
I grabbed a vintage red carry-on bag, a J. Crew shirt, and a vintage blazer.
Grand total was less than $9. I’ll take it ;]
After driving around for a bit we passed by Five Guys and definitely had to make a quick stop.
SO YUMMY.
We used to eat at the Five Guys in Greenville and I had honestly forgotten how amazing the food is.
We ended the trip at a Salvation Army in Dedham, Mass.
Talk about hitting the jackpot!
Furniture, furniture, furniture AND at outstanding prices.
I wish I had taken more photos but alas – I was a little distracted looking for treasures.
I found several larger pieces of furniture (including a pink chair that I fell madly in love with) but with a Civic, our transportation options were limited :[
Don't worry - I have added this to the list of reasons why I need an SUV (I think this one might even come before "Icy roads in the winter" ;]
We ended up leaving with an amazing vintage cradle that I can’t wait to use in a photoshoot, a vase, a vintage green drinking glass, another blazer, and some little trinkets (like earrings). I left with a smile for sure :]
